You came to the right place. Upon pressing Menu, you’ll see a number of items, as shown below. Let’s go through them together.

Sync

Pressing Sync will upload all your inspections. It also auto-syncs when logging in and out. However, it’s good practice to sync upon completion manually, so you know everything has been uploaded. All datestamps are from when you submitted the inspection. Inspections are only cleared off your phone when our servers have successfully received everything, and you see Sync complete. If you lose connection while syncing, don’t worry, everything will still be saved on your phone until you attempt to sync again.

Log Out

Pressing Logout will log you out of your account. It will attempt to sync at this time. It’s recommended that if you are sharing the phone with many users to always logout after use so the next person can log in with their credentials.

Flashlight

Pressing Flashlight will turn on the backlight of your phone to help you inspect easier in dark areas.

Remaining Inspections

Pressing Remaining Inspections allows you to see what you still have left to inspect. You can also launch the View Online feature here. Pressing View Online will launch a browser where you can navigate throughout your property. Think of it as another lens for looking at your data rather than Menu > Search. If applicable, you can also use this feature to assign your scanner to another property. Please note that you will need the internet to use this feature.

Add Inspection Point

Pressing Add Inspection Point is great for adding something that may not have or ever need a Smart Tag. However, if you are in the field and you have Smart Tags, it’s best to scan and add them rather than using this feature and then using the Menu > Replace/Activate Smart Tag feature.

Search

Pressing Search allows you to quickly see everything and what has been recently checked. There are many filters to narrow down the list, so you see only what you need to see.

Replace/Activate Smart Tag

Pressing Replace/Activate Smart Tag allows you to select an Inspection Point from the dropdown menus and either replace or activate a Smart Tag. This feature comes in handy when a Smart Tag is removed accidentally. All history is always intact with this feature just remember to sync afterwards to push your update and advise everyone else to sync so they will see this update as well.

Reuse Smart Tag

Pressing Reuse Smart Tag is typically used during a Fire Watch when you want to use the same Smart Tag over and over again for different permits. The previous ID# and details will remain intact when using this feature.

Swap Smart Tags

Pressing Swap Smart Tags is a feature used to swap the location (Property, Building and Floor). All other attributes will remain the same. This feature comes in handy when you are swapping out equipment that is no longer functional.

Batch Functions

Pressing Batch Functions will allow you to update many inspection points at once. Whether it’s a project or its location, this feature will save you a lot of time.

Give us Feedback

Pressing Give Us Feedback will allow you to provide us with your insights, from improvement suggestions to praises to concerns. Whatever it is, if you think we should know, send us your feedback.

App Preferences

Pressing App Preferences launches a number of settings, including when inspections should re-appear (for the Remaining Inspections feature), shortcuts on the home screen, auto-syncing and much more. These preferences are preserved even when you update the app.

Download Newest App

Pressing Download Newest App will connect with our servers to download the latest version. However, this is disabled if you have downloaded the app from the Google Play Store since it will auto-update via the store.

Reset

Pressing Reset is used when you want to obtain the latest updates from our servers. For example, when a new Floor/Area or a new Inspection Type or Dynamic Attributes or Questions is added or removing an Inspection Point, these updates are only sent during a Reset; otherwise, it would make syncing slow. Please note that everyone will require the internet to log into the app for the first time after a reset.

["post-2789","docs","type-docs","status-publish","hentry
["GET
https://tapwiki.net/userguide/docs/getting-started/learn-the-basics-of-tap-report/how-to-view-remaining-inspections-on-the-iphone/
https://tapwiki.net/userguide/docs/getting-started/learn-the-basics-of-tap-report/getting-around-the-ios-app/
