Accounts & Property Connections Explained

An Account in Tap Report consists of a:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email and/or Employee #
  • Pin #

Each Account allows a user to have multiple Property Connections. 

Property Connection consists of a: 

  • Role
  • Locations they are responsible for

Role allows you to control what a collection of Users can and cannot do, and when they shall receive email notifications.

Role (Company Settings > Roles & Permissions) consists of:

  • Permission Level – View Only, Inspect, Edit
  • Awareness – Notified when inspections points are near-due, overdue, Attention or Service Required
  • Work Flow – Groups that can be seen
  • User Permissions – Create/Approve Users
  • Webpage Restrictions – View Billing, Company Settings, Archive Inspection Points, Inspecting without a Tap

Locations they are responsible for (i.e. Unit 1)

Note: The ability for a single user to have multiple Property Connections provides flexibility for many scenarios.
